Character Area Workshop

The City Council and Planning Commission held a joint workshop to discuss building heights and design standards. Staff and Opticos Design, the consultant team preparing objective design standards, led a discussion on potential changes to allowable building heights and changes to building design standards in focused areas of downtown. EPS was also in attendance and provided a presentation of key economic questions to consider. The workshop utilized breakout rooms to allow participants to share their thoughts in a smaller group setting. 

  • Staff Recommendation - As this workshop, staff requested feedback on the presented topics.

  • Action - Feedback was provided by the City Council and Planning Commission. No formal action was taken.
