Community Workshop #3

The Planning Commission and Downtown Subcommittee held its third joint meeting to consider potential changes to residential density and potential modifications to allowable building heights. The density and height discussion is necessary to establish the project description for the Program Environmental Impact Report (EIR) that will analyze the potential environmental impacts from the DPP. The workshop also included an introduction to objective design standards. The objective design standards discussion was led by Opticos Design, Inc., the consultant selected to prepare objective design standards for the DPP.

  • Staff Recommendation - Staff recommended the Planning Commission and Downtown Subcommittee offer a recommendation to the City Council regarding maximum density and height requirements for the purposes of the Program EIR project description.

  • Action - No formal action was made. The Planning Commission and Downtown Subcommittee members provided feedback on the proposed densities and heights.
