Revised Draft Housing Element Submitted to HCD

The revised draft Housing Element has been submitted to the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD)! Feedback from the Council and members of the public were received during the 10/10 Subcommittee meeting and 11/1 City Council meeting. After the 11/1 City Council meeting, the draft Housing Element was revised and released for a 7-day public comment period on 11/4. Further revisions were made based on feedback received during the 7-day public comment period. Click below to review the revised draft Housing Element that was submitted to HCD.

HCD will now have 60 days to review Orinda’s revised draft Housing Element and provide comments. The City anticipates receiving comments from HCD in mid-January 2023.

Although the public comment period on the revised draft is now closed, the City will continue to accept comments through it’s ongoing public outreach on the Housing Element.
