Draft Environmental Impact Report
Read the draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR)! The EIR analyzes the potential environmental effects of the Downtown Precise Plan, Housing Element, and Safety Element. Visit the CEQA page to learn more about what an EIR is.
There will be a 45-day public comment period on the draft EIR. The public comment period begins Thursday, September 15th and will end on Monday, October 31st. Click the button below to submit your comments by email. All public comments shall be submitted via the button below (to email address PlanOrindaEIR@cityoforinda.org) to ensure your comments will be addressed in the final EIR.
A virtual Downtown Planning & Housing Element Subcommittee Meeting will be held on Monday, October 3rd at 6pm to receive verbal public comments on the draft EIR. Visit the Calendar page to learn more about the upcoming meeting.
Printed copies of the draft EIR are available for review at the Planning Counter (22 Orinda Way) and in the reference section of the Orinda Library (26 Orinda Way). If you would like to borrow a printed copy, please contact Winnie Mui at wmui@cityoforinda.org.
