Sept 2022 Revised Draft Housing Element

Read the September 23rd revised draft Housing Element! The Housing Element has been revised based on the 90-day review comment letter received from the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).

In the September 23rd revised draft, highlighted text indicates changes that were made in response to the comment letter; text that is noted using “track changes” (underlined for new text, strikethrough for deleted) but not highlighted signify changes made to the August revision that was submitted prior to the HCD comment letter. A comment letter matrix is also provided showing where in the Housing Element each comment is addressed.

Any revision to the draft Housing Element must be made available for at least 7-days prior to submittal to HCD. Once submitted, HCD will have a new 60-day period to review Orinda's revised Housing Element.

A virtual Downtown Planning & Housing Element Subcommittee Meeting will be held on Monday, October 10th at 6pm to receive feedback from the Subcommittee and public on the revised draft Housing Element.
